James G. Beck

BECK – James G., 71, of Lower Yoder Township, died March 18, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born August 4, 1952, in Johnstown, the son of James H. and Helen E. (Gargon) Beck. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Diana (Kamler) Beck; stepdaughter, Monica Kamler and family; and sister, Lenore H. Beck and friend, Bob Rauch. Jim was the loving “daddy” of Midnight and Loreal.  Jim was the owner and operator of A & B Pro Auto and former employee of Bethlehem Steel and Freight Car America. He was a member of the Johnstown Lodge #538, Free and Accepted Masons, and numerous clubs throughout the Johnstown area.  In his earlier years, Jim enjoyed Drag Racing at Keystone Raceway. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 10 – 11 a.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., 710 Broad Street where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Internment will take place at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Conemaugh Hospital’s ICU for the care they provided to Jim.
